Prudishness is the new hotness

So leftist outfits like Tumblr and Facebook have decided to ban sexually explicit material. The reason? Well, in the case of Facebook, it’s to pander to Muslims and other religions that take an extremely hard-line stance to shockingly sexual things like bare ankles and bare heads. OMG SO OFFENSIVE!!!!
Facebook Also Becoming a Sexuality-Free Zone: Reason Roundup
Reason Roundup Just a few days after Tumblr announced that it would ban all pornography, Facebook has pulled the proverbial hold my beer with its new “Sexual Solicitation” policy.
As for Tumblr, well, they had a seriously bad child porn problem. Tumblr tried to fix the problem, but that didn’t work, so now they’re banning all sexually explicit content. This is also why the Tumblr app disappeared from the App store. It is still in my iPad’s update list, and it won’t go away because the app is literally no longer in the store. Hopefully it’ll be allowed back in now.
Tumblr to ban adult content after issues with child pornography on site
Tumblr on Monday announced it will ban all adult content from its website, a move that comes just two weeks after it acknowledged child pornography had found its way onto the platform. The microblogging and social networking site said in a statement that adult content will be not permitted on the platform starting Dec.
I don’t like censorship. The Internet has been around for a while now, and I’m used to porn being readily available. I feel that parents should do as much as they can to keep their kids from seeing that kind of stuff. One the one hand, this is sad, especially with regards to Facebook and their reasons for doing it. On the other hand, it’s a little bit harder for kids to stumble on porn now. That’s good.
It’s just amusing to me how the left is now acting like those prudish Christians they love to hate.
