The Bird Is Free

So I got an email from Medium, stating that one of my posts – this post, in fact – was suspended due to “hateful conduct”:

Message from a fruit

I am guessing it’s because I referred to Clara Sorrenti as a man. Well, he IS a man. Saying otherwise is a willful denial of objective reality. Apparently, Medium thinks that pointing out the obvious is “hateful conduct.” I had forgotten all about the plugin that cross posts to my Medium account. I’ve disabled it. The crybaby that reported my post can seethe until the end of time. Clara Sorrenti is a man, was born a man, will die a man, and whatever he leaves behind will be ostensibly and identifiably male. Looks like my whole account has been nuked, as I can’t sign in anymore. Whatever. Medium can go screw themselves.

Meanwhile, Apple has threatened to remove the Twitter app from the App Store, and Musk has already stated that he’ll create his own smartphone if the Twitter app is removed from the Play Store and the App Store. Oh, and Apple has stopped advertising because how dare right-wingers have the right to express themselves. Do they know I’m using a MacBook Pro to type this post? Do they know that I use a lot of Apple products (iPad, iPhone, etc) to type my evil posts? Such bullcrap. Ooh, I’m disagreeing with a Democrat, better come confiscate my devices, as I’m a total threat to Muh Democracy!

Musk says Apple mostly stopped advertising on Twitter

Nov 28 (Reuters) – Billionaire Elon Musk said on Monday that Apple Inc (AAPL.O) has mostly stopped advertising on Twitter. Apple did not immediately respond to a request for comment. Update: Nov 26, 2022

So a LOT has happened, and I am sorry for taking so long to update this post. So far, here’s a brief rundown of everything that has happened:

Previously banned high-profile accounts have been restored, including the personal account of President Donald Trump. Restorations include Project Veritas, Jordan Peterson and the Babylon Bee. Elon Musk will not allow Alex Jones back onto Twitter, for rather emotional reasons. I roll my eyes at that, but whatever. I only say that because there’s nothing I can do about it. I think Musk’s position is stupid and hypocritical, as Alex Jones is far from the only person profiting off of the Sandy Hook tragedy.

He makes up for that stupid decision by finally cracking down on the child pornography that has run rampant on Twitter until recently.

Elon Musk Fights Child Sex Abuse After Years Of Twitter’s Refusal

Before Elon Musk bought Twitter, the tech giant permitted child sexual abuse material to circulate on it for years.

I absolutely applaud his decision to scrub the CP off of Twitter. He is also planning on releasing Twitter’s internal discussions on the Hunter Biden laptop story, which should be very interesting.

Elon Musk Teases Release of Internal Twitter Discussions on Hunter Biden’s Laptop from Hell

The new owner of Twitter, Elon Musk, said the company may release internal discussions related to the suppression of the Hunter Biden laptop from hell story, saying it is necessary to restore public trust. Musk made the comment in response to a tweet from Alex Lorusso of the conservative campus organization Turning Point USA, who was recently reinstated on the platform.

Musk also has his own definition of “hate speech” which he will implement on Twitter. So basically, you will be able to say whatever you want, but if it’s “hate speech” then you’ll be shadowbanned. More eyerolling from me:

Elon Musk Reveals How He Is Defining ‘Hate Speech’ On Twitter

Twitter CEO Elon Musk said Thursday that he is defining hate speech on the platform based on the definitions that the platform used prior to Musk taking over. Musk made the revelation in a tweet about how the company has cracked down on hate speech on the platform amid pressure from advertisers and left-wing activists.

Banned accounts are going to be restored in a blanket “amnesty” which may happen on Monday:

Elon Musk Claims He Will Grant ‘Amnesty’ to Blacklisted Twitter Accounts

Twitter owner Elon Musk claimed this week that he plans to grant “amnesty” for blacklisted accounts on the platform. Musk says the amnesty will be for users that had not “broken the law or engaged in egregious spam,” which may mean that many conservatives unfairly banned will be restored to the platform.

Some more things have happened, such as leftists leaving Twitter once Trump’s account was restored, advertisers fleeing the platform now that conservatives can actually speak freely-ish on the platform (like, how dare they question leftist orthodoxy!), Elon Musk finding a closet full of cringey “#staywoke” t-shirts, and Musk finally weeding out all the problematic employees and making plans to hire new coders. This story has been so entertaining and if I actually get any of my old Twitter accounts back, I’ll let you know here.

I am sure you’ve heard the news by now – Elon Musk is the new owner of Twitter, and the company will go private.

The top brass, including the odious Vijaya Gadde, have already been fired. Oh my goodness, to find out that that horrible woman has been fired just brought me much happiness and joy.

Now it seems that you can say things like, “the covid vaccines don’t prevent transmission” (which Pfizer has recently admitted to) or “Clara Sorrenti is not a woman and never will be a woman” (the stupid tranny freak show that nearly got Kiwi Farms off the Internet). These rather mild statements would get you suspended or banned off of Twitter. Hopefully, now that Elon Musk is in charge, that will no longer be the case.

It will never be like Gab, a free-for-all with only one real ban, which is on pornography and anything illegal. But it doesn’t need to be, as far as I am concerned. All I ever wanted was for the rules to apply to everyone. Instead, leftists were allowed to post misinformation unless it made the left look bad. Anything that made the right look bad or bolstered the left’s absurdly inflated opinion of itself was allowed, even if it obviously broke the rules.

As for President Trump, he has reiterated that he has no plans to return to Twitter:

Trump Answers Whether He Will Return To Twitter With Musk At The Helm

Former President Donald Trump will not return to Twitter after Elon Musk purchased the social media firm, although the former commander-in-chief wished the world’s richest man the best in his most recent venture.

I understand why, since he wants to promote Truth Social and has more control over it. I do hope that Trump’s Twitter account is reinstated, so that everyone can have access to it as a historical document of sorts. Plus, it would be a good idea for him to connect his Twitter account with his Truth Social account so his Truth posts are mirrored to his Twitter account.

Musk may become CEO, and according to Breitbart, Kanye West’s account, of which was recently suspended, is now visible:

Report: Musk May Become Twitter CEO, Reverse Lifetime Bans

According to recent reports, SpaceX and Tesla CEO Elon Musk is considering taking on the CEO role at Twitter with plans to reverse many of the lifetime bans for users that have been blacklisted from the – including former President Donald Trump.

I hope so too, because they were, and have been for a long time, insanely ban-happy to appease the mentally ill leftist hordes. I may set up an account there once some of these ban reversals happen, and once I am sure I won’t get banned for hurting some random asshole’s feelings.

Meanwhile, as I’ve been writing this post, more interesting things have happened.

Elon Musk on Twitter: “Twitter will be forming a content moderation council with widely diverse viewpoints. No major content decisions or account reinstatements will happen before that council convenes. / Twitter”

Twitter will be forming a content moderation council with widely diverse viewpoints. No major content decisions or account reinstatements will happen before that council convenes.

Of course, since he plans on continuing to have advertisers, the moderation of content will be necessary. Sorry, but it’s true. HOWEVER, at least according to this tweet, the moderation council will be ideologically diverse and no decisions regarding content or account reinstatements will happen until it convenes.

Anyway, what does this mean now that the sale has gone through? As noted above, some of the censor-happy leaders were immediately fired. Musk plans on firing even more people (more on that in a bit), and of course, some of the shenaningans that have been going on behind the scenes have come to light:

Musk Was Right: Bombshell Leak Reveals Fired Twitter Exec Met with Biden Admin to Discuss Censorship Plans

Here is a disturbing story. It demonstrates intrigue, corruption and disdain for American principles at the highest level. Perhaps the saddest thing about this story is that you probably won’t be surprised. Especially if you’ve been paying attention for the past few years.

Absolutely not surprising at all. And, as I said, Musk plans to lay off half of Twitter’s current workforce, and the so-called purge has already begun:

‘Your Role at Twitter’ Layoff Emails Arrive as Elon Musk’s Employee Purge Begins

Elon Musk has begun making layoffs at Twitter, and, before the day is done, as many as 3,750 Tweeps will be former employees. Now, we take no pleasure in people losing their jobs, even though, as a group, Twitter employees worked ceaselessly to destroy the lives and livelihoods of untold conservatives, conservative publications, and thought leaders for the crime of wrongthink for years.

Meanwhile, major advertisers like Pfizer – totally not surprising – are fleeing the platform now that the Democrats aren’t in charge anymore. This includes one of Tesla’s competitors, Volkswagen:

Xinjiang-Linked Volkswagen Joins Twitter Ad Boycott

Volkswagen has announced that it has suspended advertisements on Twitter in response to Elon Musk’s vow to make the social media platform a home for free speech.

Ugh, and my car is a Volkswagen, but I own it outright, so yeah.

Musk was also smart enough to lock the Twitter coders out and have some of his Tesla engineers look at the code:

Elon Musk Locks Out Twitter Engineers, Has Tesla Staff Review Code

Following his takeover of Twitter, Tesla CEO Elon Musk reportedly had Tesla engineers review Twitter’s software code and prevented Twitter engineers from making further changes. Bloomberg reports that on Thursday, Elon Musk arrived at Twitter offices to officially confirm his company takeover after the $44 billion purchase deal closed.

What I think will happen in the future is that Meta will try to fill in by clamping down on censorship for both Facebook and Instagram. Other social networks like Snapchat and TikTok will follow suit, and I believe TikTok is already clamping down on censoring anything the left does not like.

Musk has said that he will not reinstate any banned accounts until this new content moderation group convenes, and since he just bought Twitter, it won’t happen before the mid-terms. Some on the right are freaking out over this, thinking that he’s lying about being a free speech absolutist, but as I said, Twitter is still in transition and there’s no way all these banned accounts could be reviewed before the mid-terms. Furthermore, any content moderation is kind of on hold for similar reasons:

Twitter Employees Blindsided With Another Surprise from Musk – ‘Didn’t We Learn Anything From The 2016 Election’

Advertisement OPINION: This article may contain commentary which reflects the author’s opinion. Twitter CEO Elon Musk has limited the access of some Twitter employees to content moderation tools as part of his new ownership. The decision comes a week ahead of the midterm elections and it has some, particularly those who support Democrats, to express concern that misinformation could spread unchecked, Time Magazine reported.

As I’ve been working on this post, things just keep happening so I will pin this post to the top and update it whenever something else happens.

So basically, Kathy Griffin is the first major suspension of the Musk era. She stupidly changed her display name to Elon Musk and then started tweeting endorsements of Democrats, without specifying that she was parodying him. It was then taken as impersonation, which has always been against the rules (and is obviously why the verification process was even introduced). The ginger witch is now posting on a Mastodon instance.
