DeSanctimonious
So yeah, even I kinda cringed when Trump debuted this nickname on Truth Social, but then this happened:
DeSantis Finally Breaks Silence On Possible Trump Indictment, Takes Jab At Trump While Doing So
As T he Gateway Pundit previously reported, Governor Ron DeSantis has refrained from speaking about Trump being possibly arrested on Tuesday. DeSantis’s silence even earned him the nickname DeSilence from some on social media. The Governor of Florida has finally broken his silence and in a press conference on Monday morning, weighing in on Trump’s possible indictment.
This quote right here is why the nickname is absolutely appropriate:
Look, I don’t know what goes into paying hush money to a porn star to secure silence over some type of alleged affair.
As if he were innocent. This is the same guy that oversaw the torture of alleged terrorists at Guantanamo Bay, and you know the mainstream media will bring that up the moment he gets the Republican nomination.
Trump has already responded:
Trump Responds to Jab From DeSantis – ‘DeSanctimonious Will Probably Find Out About FALSE ACCUSATIONS & FAKE STORIES Sometime in the Future’
DeSantis broke his silence on the possible indictment of Trump with jabs at both the former president and the “Soros-funded prosecutor” Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg. He had been noticeably silent about the looming arrest over the weekend, prompting calls from Trump supporters for him to speak out.
Trump is right. I mean, come on – we’ve all seen this shit before. The mainstream media did it with McCain in 2008, and with Romney in 2012, and succeeded both times. I’m sure they’ve done it with other moderate, Approved Republican candidates in the past. As soon as you’re no longer a threat, the MSM is nice to you again – see post-2016 coverage on Romney.
DeSantis fantards are whining and crying about Trump supposedly accusing DeSantis of fucking underage girls or whatever, but use your brains, people – regardless if Trump is accusing DeSantis of anything or not, he is also pointing out that this story – DeSantis partying with underage girls while teaching at a Georgia school – will resurface should DeSantis take the Republican presidential nomination. Whether it’s true or not, or whether Trump believes it or not is irrelevant. It’s already out there on the Internet, and the mainstream media has likely already taken note of that. So you can add that to the whole Guantanamo Bay thing and whatever other dirt they may have on him.
Besides, these morons might also want to read what Trump actually wrote – there are no accusations, just pointing out this story and that it’s likely BS, like the whole Stormy Daniels hush money thing:
“Ron DeSanctimonious will probably find out about FALSE ACCUSATIONS & FAKE STORIES sometime in the future, as he gets older, wiser, and better known, when he’s unfairly and illegally attacked by a woman, even classmates that are “underage” (or possibly a man!). I’m sure he will want to fight these misfits just like I do!”
Do you see any accusations here? I don’t. Instead, he’s comparing the story he linked to the Stormy Daniels hush money issue, which Trump obviously denies. Duh. DeSantis fanboys are every bit as stupid as your average leftist.
By the way, even Chris Rock knows this will backfire on the Dems in the long run:
Chris Rock Calls Democrats ‘Stupid’ for Wanting to Arrest Trump: ‘Only Going to Make Him More Popular’
674 Comedian Chris Rock reportedly called Democrat politicians “stupid” for wanting to arrest former President Donald Trump, saying it is “only going to make him more popular.” In an appearance Sunday at the Kennedy Center to honor Adam Sandler with the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor, Chris Rock appeared to address Democrat lawmakers in the audience, including former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA).
So far it hasn’t happened, so it’s looking like it’ll be tomorrow, if it does? I truly hope it does not happen, because it just does not bode well. I don’t see how we would ever recover from something like this.
By the way, this isn’t about Trump, or loyalty to Trump anymore. The Democrats have gone entirely too far, and they’re just using this to get Trump out of the race and prevent him from running for President ever again. It’s political persecution against their political opponent. This sets a very bad precedent. I like what DeSantis has done for Florida and all, but for him to wait this long to denounce the investigation, and to snark about it while he’s been playing the bigger man so far is just…seriously not cool. Not even sure I want to support the guy. He is obviously running a shadow presidential campaign, which, by the way, is illegal in the state of Florida:
“Resign to Run” is a Florida law that requires any state official who qualifies for federal public office to resign from the state office he or she presently holds before jumping in the ring if the terms, or any part thereof, run concurrently with each other.”
This is quote from Laura Loomer’s Substack, which is quite good. She’s firmly in Trump’s corner and has done some exposes on DeSantis that hasn’t gotten a lot of attention. DeSantis has just begun his second term as governor of Florida and he already wants to run for the Presidency, which is a total slap in the face to Trump. Oh, and he has said absolutely nothing about the stolen election of 2020.
Which brings me to why DeSantis and his shadow campaign pisses me off so much, and why it’s pissed Trump off so much. Most Republicans, especially Trump supporters, believe that the 2020 Presidential election was just not on the up-and-up. Within that group of people, a lot believe that the Democrats committed a variety of fraud to outright steal the election for Joe Biden because they hated Trump that much. Oh, and Time magazine bragged about it, but called it “fortifying” the election. They’re not even trying to hide it.
Trump is big on loyalty. He endorsed Ron DeSantis for his first run at the Florida governorship, which probably saved DeSantis from defeat. And he endorsed DeSantis again last year.
Running against him for the GOP nomination is how DeSantis chooses to repay Trump for those endorsements and other support. Oh, and DeSantis did nothing and said nothing when Mar a Lago was raided.
It wasn’t until these obvious betrayals that Trump started lashing out at DeSantis, coming up with the DeSanctimonious nickname and whatnot. The issue of loyalty is both Trump’s strength and weakness, and I say this because Trump lashing out at DeSantis is the last thing we need right now, because we need to present a united front. However, DeSantis choosing his own political future over the future of election integrity is even worse. He hasn’t even said anything about how the 2020 election was stolen, or how it was at least suspicious. Nope, not a single word – just accepted the outcome like every other RINO.
DeSantis was playing it smart for a while, refusing to snark back at Trump and whatnot, but that’s all over now, as he just couldn’t help himself. He probably thinks he’ll never have to actually face Trump in the GOP primaries, that Trump will not only be arrested but convicted, possibly sentenced to a lengthy jail term and therefore be barred from running for President ever again. I bet you a billion dollars that’s what DeSantis is counting on, and that’s why he suddenly felt confident enough to talk shit about Trump on live television.
This is so depressing. I hate all this infighting. I wish they’d both stop and focus on the real enemy.
