So I woke up this morning to Jon Del Arroz calling for everyone to cancel Disney+. He didn’t really say why, so I figured it was just a call to do so in general, because we all know what a dumpster fire Disney has been these past few years.
Then I log in to my computer for work (I work from home, using my own computer) and I see that LucasFilm and Disney has fired actress Gina Carano from her role as Cara Dune on the only Star Wars related hit they have left, The Mandalorian.
Lucasfilm has booted Mandalorian star Gina Carano from the hit show, saying “there are no plans for her to be in the future” and calling some of her recent social media posts “abhorrent and unacceptable.”
And normally, I just ignore calls for boycotts. That’s for a number of reasons, but one reason is that they feel futile. But once I found out that, after yet another evil pressure campaign from a bunch of drug-addled losers who cannot handle the fact that the world does not worship them, that she had been fired for basically comparing the left to Nazis, that was it.
I had originally gotten a year of Disney+ for free through Verizon, my cell phone carrier, and kept it because I was going to watch something on there, but I just canceled it this morning, since I had been paying for a few months now. This wasn’t too hard because I wasn’t really watching anything on there anyway.
This has to stop. The left makes these comparisons all the time. Their logic for labeling her posts as “abhorrent” is the notion that she’s cheapening the experience of the Jews during World War 2 by comparing the plight of the victims of cancel culture to what the Jews went through at the hands of the Nazis.
The thing is, she was absolutely right. The Nazis didn’t immediately start sending Jews to the concentration camps. Even before the Nazis fully took power, there was a campaign against Jews, demonizing them because of course, Germany was still suffering in the aftermath of World War 1 and the Treaty of Versailles. Go to the Holocaust Museum and read about the aftermath of World War 1. You’ll see some disturbing parallels to the situation we find ourselves in today (including the upcoming inflation at the hands of the feckless Beijing Biden — ooh, how exciting!!!).
I mean, come on, anybody with even a basic understanding of Western history knows that the Jews weren’t sent to camps overnight. It began with the anti-semitism that was actually pretty prevalent throughout Europe, and one that the Nazis basically took advantage of. First, there was the restrictions on what Jews could do, then, of course, wearing the yellow stars on their clothing, then they were herded into isolated communities called ghettos, and of course, you know the rest.
Her point was only that we are currently in the beginning stages of what might actually become a bona-fide holocaust given the way the left is acting right now. You even have one shithead on Twitter calling her a freaking Nazi when, if you actually read her post, is clearly nothing of the sort. Oh, but because she mocked personal pronouns, she’s a fucking Nazi now?
Anyway, this is what she actually said:
Jews were beaten in the streets, not by Nazi soldiers but by their neighbors… even by children.
“Because history is edited, most people today don’t realize that to get to the point where Nazi soldiers could easily round up thousands of Jews, the government first made their own neighbors hate them simply for being Jews. How is that any different from hating someone for their political views?”
That is exactly what happened. The left knows damn well what she meant. They just don’t like being called out on their monstrous behavior. Besides, they obviously believe they’ve cornered the market for Nazi comparisons – apparently, calling Trump and all of his supporters Nazis is totally okay, but don’t you dare call them Nazis!
This was just a convenient excuse to finally fire her. It’s the left’s M.O. They’re pretty patient, so they wait to find something they can use as an excuse to “cancel” someone. It’s a stretch to say that she was “denigrating” anyone or anyone’s experience in what she wrote, but here’s another thought – the left hates it when we, their opponents, act like victims in any way. We’re monsters. We don’t get to wear the mantle of victimhood. One can do any horrible thing to a right-winger and none of them will have any sympathy or compassion for that right-winger, or any other right-winger.
The division in our society is really bad right now, and the left holds sole responsibility for it. Yes, I said that. I will not apologize for it, so don’t even bother writing me with tales of supposed right-wingers doing bad things. The left has all the institutional power – they own and operate the entertainment industry and all sub-industries within, they own our government from top to bottom (especially the bureaucracy) and most Western governments are wholly ruled by leftists even crazier (and more evil) than our own. We right wingers literally have NO power whatsoever. Even our elections are clearly compromised.
Disney, one of the “Wokest” companies on the planet, continues to pander to insufferable, intolerant leftists who feel the inconsolable need to fire, muzzle, silence, ban, deplatform, dehumanize and ultimately, “cancel” anyone who politically dissents with them.
I started a post about that Time magazine article in which some leftist hack admits they stole the election, so I’ll finish it and post it soon.
