War Is Over (If You Want It)
So this weekend Trump managed to negotiate a ceasefire between the Palestinians and Israel. I, of course, am so happy for this outcome and so incredibly proud of President Trump for pulling this off.
Of course, the left’s response is not surprising – some are just pissed that it was Trump who got this peace deal, others are giving Biden the credit, and some just choose not to acknowledge that Trump was the one to have brokered this peace deal (looking at you, Obama).
To be fair, there are some in the mainstream media who are giving Trump credit, and of course, Senator John Fetterman has been reasonable about it (as he’s been reasonable about a lot of things, to be honest).
I believe that Israel had to make some concessions, one of them being the release of some Palestinian prisoners. The Palestinians had to release all of the hostages, and the sad thing is that there are no surviving female hostages. Some people have speculated that Hamas killed them so that they wouldn’t be able to tell the world just exactly how horrifically they’ve been treated. I wouldn’t be surprised but this hasn’t been confirmed.
You can read more about the ceasefire deal here:
The recipient of this year’s Nobel Peace Prize was also recently announced and unsurprisingly it was not President Trump. The woman who did get the award dedicated it to Trump for his support of her cause and for the recent peace deal. Her name is Maria Corina Machado and she’s from Venezuela, and she’s actually pretty based and cool, so it’s a little surprising they gave her the award, to be honest. You can read more about her here, and how the President of Mexico is butthurt about it. Many other leftists were upset at this dedication and the President of Belarus even trashed Trump when he was asked why our President didn’t get the prize.
First of all, I don’t expect Trump to ever get the Nobel Peace Prize. Second, I, like a lot of others, figured that this year’s award would be for achievements within the past year, and that the winner was possibly selected before Trump brokered this ceasefire deal. Even so, this is just another in a long line of Trump peace deals, so he still absolutely deserves it.
Hamas is pissed and they immediately started executing people they accused of collaborating with Israel…no surprise there. Sad, but no surprise.
Now I am going to be really pessimistic and cynical here, but given the history of the region, especially since the modern state of Israel was established back in 1948, I do not expect this to last. This isn’t a criticism of Trump at all. I know how the Palestinians are – they’ll do something horrible to Israelis or whatever, and then Israel will go balls-to-the-wall with their response and we’ll have another conflict on our hands. I sincerely hope I am wrong, though.
I won’t get into any Biblical prophecies or anything, but if you’re a Christian like me, you know what peace in the Middle East means.
Also unsurprising is how absolutely none of these pro-Palestine people celebrated this ceasfire deal:
I agree – it was never, ever about the innocent Palestinians (even though I don’t believe very many of them are innocent since they teach their children to kill Jews from the moment they’re able to reason) – it was always about the destruction of Israel and kickstarting Holocaust Part 2.
Oh, but the pro-Palestine people are calling for the killing of those they deem “collaborators”:
Anyway, I am very happy about this outcome and I hope it lasts as long as possible. Laura Loomer doesn’t think it will last more than ten years because this is something Muslims do – they agree to a ceasefire that lasts ten years and use that decade to build up their forces so they can attack when they’re stronger.
She’s probably right, and I am sure Israel will not rest on their laurels and stay vigilant because Hamas, or whoever the Palestinians choose to represent them in the future, cannot be trusted. As you’ve seen in this post, they’re killing “collaborators” already without any due process whatsoever. The people of Gaza need to ditch Hamas and choose normal, non-violent people willing to work towards a peaceful solution, especially if they want to be recognized as their own country. Otherwise, there will be no peace.
