I Guess I’m A Pick-Me
I am sure you know what this is going to be about. I haven’t blogged in forever for a number of things, one of them being that the news cycle goes so fast and I am not sure if I have anything new to contribute to a great deal of news stories.
But then I saw this video on YouTube and immediately got irritated, because I hate it when people make excuses for female criminals:
Then I suddenly started seeing a lot of conversation on X about Lindsay Clancy and the very tragic murder of her three children, and while I am not surprised at what feminists have been saying about it, the discourse still makes me pretty angry.
So these Lindsay Clancy supporters fall into two camps – those that think her husband actually killed the children and framed her (like the chick in the video above), and those that think she should be totally acquitted because she was suffering from both postpartum depression and postpartum psychosis.
I asked Grok and Chat GPT about the theory that her husband killed the kids and both said that there was no evidence to support that theory. It’s just a bunch of nonsense by dumb TikTok wine moms that have nothing better to do than be Temu Nancy Drew.
My X feed is now absolutely full of Lindsay Clancy stuff, but it’s all from people with compassion and common sense, so that’s good, but it’s also kind of tiresome because it’s a reminder that there are women on this Earth that think a child killer should go free because of muh hormones and depression.
Let me be perfectly clear: nothing justifies the murder of a child. Nothing justifies the killing of a child, and yes, there’s a difference. I don’t even think anything justifies the mere killing of a child. It’s a tragedy, full stop.
Some of the less insane people keep insisting that the care Lindsay got wasn’t adequate. I don’t even know if that’s true because her ex-husband Patrick went above and beyond to accommodate her, and apparently that wasn’t enough.
If the care she got was inadequate or just didn’t work…too bad. That does not justify killing your kids. There’s people all over the world who face far worse than anything she has done and not once did killing their children cross their minds.
The notion that depression of any sort had anything to do with her killing her kids makes me angry, because I’ve struggled with depression my whole life and I haven’t killed anyone. Postpartum psychosis is different, but the actions she carried out before killing her kids shows premeditation, and that doesn’t jive with psychosis as far as I’m concerned, and I’m probably far from the only person to feel that way. She knew what she was doing, she wanted her husband out of the way so that she could carry out the killings uninterrupted, and then staged a half-assed suicide attempt in an effort to set up an insanity defense (to be fair, while she cut herself, but didn’t slash her wrists badly enough to die from it, she then jumped out of a window and as a result is paralyzed from the waist down, so there’s that, I guess).
She knew what she was doing. And something these Lindsay fantards keep forgetting is that she actually admitted that she killed them…she just wants to go to a cushy mental institution so she can pretend to get better and be released within a few years or so.
Letting her get away with an insanity defense would be a horrifying thing, especially since she has so much support from women who are obviously pro-abortion.
Now a lot of people, mostly pro-abortion feminazis, will be pissed off at the connection I and others will make between Lindsay Clancy killing her three children and abortion, but I can’t and won’t ignore the parallels. This is where the abortion issue leads to – the eventual cheapening and disregard for human life. It’ll start with the most defenseless of all – the fetus, and will continue with those that can’t make “meaningful contributions” to society (children that don’t work or pay taxes), to those that are too sick or old to participate in society the way some think we should (the genuinely disabled and the elderly).
Lots of those pathetic TikTok wine moms are posting videos with the hash tag #SameLindsay and it’s revolting and horrifying. I have no doubt that some of them, if not all of them, are abusing their children.
Being a parent is not easy – I am not a parent but even I know that. I observe my sisters, both of whom have children of their own, and I think about what my parents had to put up with when it comes to me and my siblings, and I can see that it’s not easy. But as I said earlier, millions – no, billions of people all around the world raise their children without hurting them or killing them, or even feeling that kind of deep resentment towards them.
They’re identifying with a woman who killed her children – not a woman who was frazzled at the grocery store and had to take her kids with her because she couldn’t afford a baby sitter and either her husband/father wasn’t in the picture or had to work and couldn’t mind the kids, and had to discipline her unruly kids and did so a little too strongly and some busybody Karen unable to mind her own business reported her to CPS…that kind of person would warrant this whole solidarity and whatnot. Not a woman who strangled her children one by one, which takes time and effort to do. To have your mother’s angry, furious face the last thing you see as the life is literally being choked out of you…by the one that’s supposed to love you, the one who’s supposed to stand by you no matter what…is total and utter nightmare fuel. Those poor children suffered in their final moments, and they suffered at the hands of their own mother.
Of course we, as a society, should offer more support to mothers suffering from postpartum depression or postpartum psychosis, for both the mother and her innocent children. It’s a complete tragedy that these women are using the murder of children as a means to raise awareness of postpartum depression. This will do enormous damage to mental health involving mothers, because now people are going to equate both postpartum depression and postpartum psychosis as some trick by a murderess who wants to get away with her crime.
So yes, we should offer more support to mothers…but I am not going to let a child killer off the hook, no matter what mental illness she was suffering from.
Feminizes are not happy that they’re getting criticism for supporting a literal child killer, calling any woman that disagrees with them a pick-me. If that makes me a pick-me, cool. I love men, I have no problem with men and I am not one of those hagravens that want all men dead or whatever.
I also just have to sperg about my cats for a minute…I don’t have kids, but I have several cats, and yes, they poop on the floor, puke on the carpet, claw the crap out of my purses and a lot of other stuff, including my clothes and my couch; their food is expensive, one cat is a bully and eats all the food while the others have to fight for what little is left (any advice on dealing with this would be greatly appreciated)…oh, and they’re fond of doing zoomies at the most random times in the day, knocking stuff over…but I love them. I love all my kitties and the thought of having to rehome even one of them gives me panic attacks. They are all so precious and I never, ever, EVER thought of hurting them, for any reason. I would never hurt a cat, and I can’t imagine someone wanting to hurt their own child. I don’t even have kids. I would love kids. To think that there’s people on this world that treat their own children so callously is just tragic.
Another thing – feminazis are claiming that men (they routinely ignore women who also agree with men on a given thing, occasionally acknowledging them as pick-mes, hence the title of this post) ignore male family annihilators.
First of all, that’s total bullshit. Men didn’t stand outside the courthouse where Chris Watts was on trial for the murder of his wife and kids, dressed in blue and claiming he needed to be acquitted because of muh mental illness and/or hormones. Men weren’t saying #SameChris after Chris Benoit, former WWE wrestler (and this one made me so incredibly sad because I used to be a WWE fan, and I watched both Chris Benoit and his friend, Eddie Guerrero, twice a week and while I understand that Eddie’s death messed him up, that did not justify what he did to his wife and son), killed his wife and son before killing himself, and you could argue that he was suffering from severe mental illness after years of steroid abuse and the death of fellow wrestler Eddie Guerrero. Not even that justifies the killing of his innocent wife and son.
Mental illness only explains why someone committed a crime, but it does not justify it unless the perpetrator literally doesn’t understand what they did was wrong. Lindsay Clancy knew what she did was wrong. She took steps to prevent her husband from stopping her and then jumped out the window to escape responsibility for what she did.
As of this writing, the jury, composed of mostly women, is deliberating, so hopefully we’ll get a verdict soon. I don’t trust that this jury will convict her of murder, which they absolutely should. We do need more awareness regarding mental illness because far too many people think that mental illness is an excuse for wrongdoing, and it’s not.
