Mid-Term Aftermath

I’m angry at everyone, pretty much. There’s blame to go all around. Let me get the saddest one out of the way first.

President Trump

This makes me sad because I love Trump so much. Go ahead and call me a cultist, I don’t care. But let’s be honest – he has always run on no new wars…and in his second term, we have the Iran war. He broke one of his biggest campaign promises, and that has made a lot of people on the right upset, and understandably so. The Iran war is not the same as the Iraq war, and President Trump has been clear about the objectives from the start – he does not want the Islamic regime to have a nuclear weapon. In the aftermath of the midterms, he has owned up to the fact that he made a calculated decision to go forward with the Iran war, knowing it would cost us the midterms, and that this was better in the long run. I am still upset that he broke his promise and torpedoed the second half of his own term, but I can respect that he’s been fairly honest and transparent about it.

The People

Speaking of the Iran war, this was one of the biggest issues people had going into the election. This issue has also affected gas prices. People are so angry over the gas prices and the prices of everything else, and, because this is just the way things go, blamed Trump. So to “get back” at Trump, people on the right just stayed home. Leftists hate Trump with a passion and showed up in droves to vote for their stupid shitheads in the hopes of getting Trump impeached and removed…and some of them are truly delusional enough to believe that the Democrats have any intention of doing anything to relieve our economic woes beyond ending the so-called “illegal” war in Iran.

The Democrats have tried tap-dancing around their intentions but they’re not hiding them – they have, over and over, paid lip service to reducing gas prices and improving the economy, but if you pay careful attention to what they say, they have ALWAYS said that “prosecuting” and “investigating” Trump’s supposed crimes come first. Getting rid of ICE has also been their top priority and even some of the local council candidates here in crazy Portland – some of whom were supposed to be non-partisan – ran on fighting the “fascism” of the current administration and keeping ICE out of town.

People clearly voted with their emotions, butthurt over a war, gas prices, etc without thinking about the far future, without thinking about the big picture, and without thinking about the whole country instead of themselves.

I am so sick and tired of certain right-wing podcasters and YouTubers endlessly bitching about the Iran war, and now that the election is over, hopefully they’ll find something else to whine about. No, I wish Trump hadn’t bothered with the Iran war either – at this point, I’m at least partly agreeing with Matt Walsh in just letting them have a freaking nuke and see where the chips fall, rather than have a Congress full of child-molesting communists. But that wasn’t my biggest issue. My biggest issue was keeping Musloids and communists out of office. That should have been everyone’s priority but this country is still full of morons, so there you go.

The Republicans

These assholes in office…they make me so angry. As angry as I am with the people and their staggering ignorance, the Republicans in Congress never gave them a reason to actually vote for them. Senator John Thune and his refusal to bring any decent bills to the Senate floor for a vote is a very good example.

We’ve been dealing with this crap for decades. Even back during the Bush years we had to deal with Republican congress critters frequently reaching over the aisle to vote for horrible things, or just not doing anywhere near enough to stop horrible bills, like Obamacare back in 2010. Oh, and whenever they’d FINALLY get a majority, they do nothing to overturn things like Obamacare.

For the better part of 25 years, the Republicans that have served in Congress have not given any of us a reason to vote for them. That did not change with Trump getting into the White House. In fact, it got worse because Trump’s very anti illegal immigration and these Republicans love illegals, and a great deal of them are just reflexively anti-Trump.

I understand not wanting to vote for any of these people. I voted straight Republican this year, as I always do, because this year was not the year to “punish” anyone or stamp your foot over all of these candidates being wishy-washy RINOs…Trump isn’t going to get anything done in the last two years of his final Presidential term because of this. We won’t see the benefits of his second-term policies until next year at the earliest, and the DemonShits in Congress will just take credit for it, and their fuck-ups will be blamed on Trump.

Even so, people like me keep saying, every two years, that we just have to hold our noses and vote straight Republican one more time to stave off total communism. I’ll be honest. In the past, I’ve freaked out and gotten upset but after following politics for so long (25 years or so now), I’ve seen this before and I just frown, shrug and go about my day. This country has been on a slow decline and unfortunately nobody really wants to do much of anything to stop it, and I’m tired of being stressed out about it.

The Democrats

I just have to throw this in here…wasn’t going to list them at first, but my hatred for them and everything they stand for runs deep and they’re the biggest threat to this country anyway, so yeah, I reserve most of my anger for these worthless child-molesting communists. This also includes their lazy, worthless supporters.

I have no doubt they’ve probably stolen a few elections this year too, like that dumbass in a toupee, Talarico, in Texas. His hair looks super fake. I can’t stand this dumbass, going on about how God is non-binary…I doubt he actually believes that, but he’s gotta pay lip service to all the other dumb/evil Democrats so he can get support and whatnot. I mean, I hope he’s not stupid enough to believe that.

Looking Forward

So the next two years are going to be hard, and there’ll be a lot of impeachment attempts and a lot of good, innocent people will be persecuted by the Democrats, all because Trump didn’t want Iran to have nukes…all because people on the right were colossal babies over their damn gas prices…all because Democrats are power hungry monsters that will do anything to gain power, even if it means outright stealing elections. It’s all so very, very tiresome.
